• The state of South Carolina adheres to all federal emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). 2. Which state organization manages air pollution regulations?

• Bureau of Air Quality: The South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Controlhttp://www.scdhec.gov/environment.htm houses the Bureau of Air Quality http://www.scdhec.gov/environment/baq/index.asp. The mission of the Bureau of Air Quality is to conserve and enhance air resources in a manner that promotes quality of life.

3. What are the specific responsibilities of the Bureau of Air Quality?
