Job Description
Under the supervision of a senior analyst-programmer, you will develop, test, and debug new features or enhancements to the existing software, according to specifications.
You will be expected to analyze and review the existing system, and program logic to become familiar with the existing program features and coding standards (very important).
Regular development meetings will be common place and you will also provide weekly status reports of your progress. You will be held accountable for all results that you deliver. They will expected to be fully tested and of a high quality.
Personal Skills Required:
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.
- Strong background in Object Oriented Analysis/Programming
- Very good expertise in multi-tiered applications / services.
- Ability to develop and modify program documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Thorough approach to any task undertaken, with concern for details and problem solving.
Programming Skills Required:
- Very good - ASP.NET and VB.NET (v1.1 and up)
- Very good - MSSQL Server 2008 - DDL/DML, stored proc, functions, triggers, maintenance/administration procedures.
- Very good – MSReportingServices
- Very good - HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Good - MSSourceSafe assisted development
- Good - MSOffice suite and MSOffice automation
- Good - GUI design skills
