1. What air regulations does the state of Colorado follow?

  • The state of Colorado adheres to all federal emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). National emission standards for HAPs, compliance dates and their rules and implementation are found in the following U.S. Environmental Protection Agency link: http://www.epa.gov/ttn/atw/eparules.html. The state of Colorado also regulates it's a state HAPs list which is used for reporting and emission inventory (see Regulation 3, Appendix B, p 47). http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/regulations/airregs/index.html

  • Air Pollution Control Division : The Colorado Department of Public Heath and Environment http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/ houses the Air Pollution Control Division http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/ap/aboutus.html. The mission of the Air Pollution Control Division is to provide customers with excellent air quality management services that contribute to: protection of public health; protection of ecosystems; and continual improvement of the air quality related aesthetic values, such as odours and visibility.
