1. What air regulations does the state of Nebraska follow?

• The state of Nebraska adheres to all federal emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). The Nebraska air regulations are primarily based on regulations developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address the Clean Air Act requirements. The state of Nebraska HAPs list has 235 chemicals with different emission reporting levels. It is used for emission inventory. 2. Which state organization manages air pollution regulations?

• Air Quality Division: The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality http://www.deq.state.ne.us/ houses the Air Quality Division http://www.deq.state.ne.us/. The objectives of the Air Quality Division are to achieve and maintain the ambient air quality standards; to protect the quality of the air in areas of the state that have air cleaner than the standards; and to implement air quality rules and regulations.

3. What are the specific responsibilities of the Air Quality Division?
