  • The state of New Jersey adheres to all federal emission standards for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). National emission standards for HAPs, compliance dates and the air rules and implementation are found in the following U.S. Environmental Protection Agency link: http://www.epa.gov/ttn/atw/eparules.html. The list of HAPs that are currently regulated under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Air Quality Permitting Program can be found in N.J.A.C. 7:27-8, Permits and Certificates for Minor Facilities (and Major Facilities without an Operating Permit) and N.J.A.C 7:27-22 Operating Permits (in both, see Table B in appendix).
